It's All In the Fabric - Nina Nieves

It's All In the Fabric

The world was our oyster when deciding what kind of fabric to use for the Nina cape. Ultimately, we chose a versatile and fascinating fabric - Merino Wool. For one, it’s softer than regular wool and it is grown by Merino sheep that graze the highlands of Australia and New Zealand which just sounds luxe, and if that’s not enough, it’s a wool that can be used in the summer and winter due to the breathing qualities of the fabric. To simplify - you stay cool in a warmer climate and it keeps you warm in a colder climate. How it’s acquired was also important to us and using Merino wool helps us do our part to be a bit more sustainable. No sheep are harmed and the wool grows back. Win, win. Happy to share that the first collection of NN capes are made of 100% merino wool and made in NYC! We hope you enjoy them as much as we do.

  • Bought one for my daughter for Christmas. Oops. Nothing like the quality on the internet. And I should know as a I purchased a cape for my wife 2 Christmas’s ago from Nordstrom. The NN cape is ten times the quality and much more versatile. Congratulations NN!
